The law of 18 September 2017 lays down the rules regarding the framing of the UBO register. By Royal Decree of 30 July 2018, the initial deadline to submit to the register was fixed on 31 March. Earlier, the Minister of Finance decided to grant a delay until September 30, 2019 (all be it without formal amendment of the Royal Decree).
Today, the fiscal administration announced that no further postponements will be approved. However, the administration is planning on conducting a policy of tolerance and will not impose any sanctions until 31 December 2019.
