Matthias joined Tiberghien in 2015 after obtaining a Master’s degree at KU Leuven and a Postgraduate degree in Tax Law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Matthias has been a course assistant for European taxation at KU Leuven since 2017.
His practice mainly focuses on national, international and European corporate tax matters. He also advises clients from the financial sector, with a focus on the tax aspects of investment income, withholding taxes, financial instruments and investment fund structures (i.a. private equity). Matthias also assists clients in tax procedures (both administrative and judicial proceedings).
